Why you need a crypto lawyer

Three places the code can't help you.

  • Estate Planning

Digital asset trusts, will supplements, beneficiary designations, and probate avoidance strategies for crypto holders.

  • Tax Optimization

Stepped-up basis planning, cross-border structuring, gift vs. inheritance analysis, and CARF compliance guidance.

  • Forced Heirship

Brussels IV election of law, protecting asset allocation in civil-law jurisdictions, and navigating mandatory inheritance shares.

For vault owners

Three steps to professional guidance.

  1. 01

Create your vault & set jurisdiction

Deploy a vault smart contract and select your legal jurisdiction. The platform auto-detects forced-heirship rules, tax implications, and recommended legal structures for your region.

  2. 02

    Download your Trust Declaration

Generate a comprehensive Trust Declaration PDF that documents your vault as an inter vivos conditional trust. Ready for legal review and optional notarization.

  3. 03

Find a lawyer in our network

Connect with a crypto-friendly lawyer in your jurisdiction to review your Trust Declaration, advise on local requirements, and notarize if needed. All partners understand blockchain-native estate planning.

Questions

Frequently asked

  • How does the referral program work?

Lawyers in our partner network receive referrals from vault owners in their jurisdiction who need professional legal guidance. When a vault owner requests a lawyer through HeirVault, we match them based on jurisdiction and specialization, and connect them directly.

  • What qualifications are required?

You must be a licensed lawyer in your jurisdiction with experience in digital assets, estate planning, or both. We verify credentials before adding partners to the network. Familiarity with smart contracts and blockchain technology is a strong plus.

  • Is there a cost to join?

Joining the partner network is free during our beta period. We plan to introduce premium listing options in the future, which will include enhanced visibility, priority placement, and co-marketing opportunities.

  • How are lawyers matched with clients?

We match lawyers with vault owners based on jurisdiction and specialization. When a vault owner selects their jurisdiction during vault setup, we surface relevant partner lawyers who can review their Trust Declaration, advise on local inheritance rules, and handle notarization if needed.
